How to create a new chatbot

Step 1 - Click “Create a new Chatbot

Step 2 - Enter a name for the chatbot (for internal use only)

Step 3 - Enter a display name for the chatbot (shown to all users who interact with the chatbot).

Step 4 - Enter the data which you want to train your chatbot on (all the static info about the specific business, product, service and offerings. You can simply enter in your website URL and it will automatically add all of the text from your website).

Step 5 - Update the visibility permissions from Private to Public (be sure to add and verify your website domain so the chatbot only works on your website - see Step 8).

Step 6 - Update and add an initial message to display to users when they first interact with the chatbot. 

Step 7 - Update the Base System Prompt to reflect your business and industry. Here is a database of base system prompts that you can use and copy for free. Learn more about Training the Bot Here.

Step 8 - Cont. from Step 5 - Enter the domain(s) on which the chatbot will be active. Separate multiple domains with commas. 

Step 9 - After you have entered in all the information for each of the required sections click “Create Chatbot”. It takes about 15 seconds to create the chatbot and then you will immediately be able to test the chatbot and ask it questions based off of the information you entered into your knowledge base. 

Step 10 - You can now use the available chatbot widget and copy and paste the embed code into your website either as an inline element or as a chat widget that shows up in the bottom right hand corner of the website.
