Message Credits Explained

What is a message credit?

1 message credit is equal to 1 A.I. generated response.

Each message credit costs roughly between $0.003 and $0.005 a piece.

How do message credits work?

Message credits are set at the Agency account level. This means as the agency owner, you have the ability to control how many message credits are distributed to each sub-account and/or chatbot.

Can I get more message credits?

Yup - you can add message credits manually and/or automatically. Each message credit costs about ~$0.004.

What are message credits used for?

Every time the A.I. responds with a message, 1 credit will be deducted from your account balance.

What's the difference between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4?

1 A.I. response using GPT-3.5 costs 1 message credits. 1 A.I. response using GPT-4 costs 25 message credits. This is because it costs us ~30x more to get the response via OpenAI's GPT-4 API.

Can I resell message credits to my clients?

Yes definitely! This is one of the best parts about Stammer's platform. For example: You can purchase message credits from us for $0.005 per credit and resell to your clients for $0.01 per credit (a 2x increase!).

How does auto-billing work for message credits?

When you enable auto-billing for your agency, your account will automatically be charged based on the credits needed. For example if you need to fulfill a new customer account or are adding credits to a sub-account but don't have enough credits in your agency's pool of available credits, then the system will determine the package needed to ensure your agency's pool always has enough available credits.

Auto-Billing Example:

- Your agency has 9,000 credits available and you get a new customer to sign up on your tiered plan that includes 10,000 message credits. The system will determine that you only need 1,000 more message credits, so it will then auto-bill your agency's credit card for $10 and add 2,000 credits to your agency pool. Your agency now has 11,000 credits available. Your customer would then automatically receive their 10,000 credits, leaving your agency with 1,000 credits available.
